The Asian Fashion Business Conference (AFBC) 2025, hosted by Creative Asia Foundation and co-organised by Asia Media, concluded successfully on 18-19 March 2025. The two-day event brought together leading voices from fashion, sustainability, technology, education, and government to explore how innovation and ethics can drive the future of the fashion industry across the Asia-Pacific region.

This year’s program focused on key themes such as sustainability and ethical production, digital transformation through AI, and public procurement opportunities through initiatives like Buy Queensland and the upcoming Brisbane 2032 Olympics. The conference featured keynote speeches, panel discussions, industry case studies, and an interactive learning environment that bridged academic research with practical strategy.

A notable highlight of this year’s AFBC was the launch of the AFBC: Industry Immersion & Research Program, which offered students and young professionals direct access to the fashion industry through structured mentorship, research-based projects, and immersive engagement with conference sessions. Thanks to the partnership with QUT, their academics provided deep, research-driven insights that greatly enriched the conference discussions on sustainability, ethics, and the future of fashion. The program underscored AFBC’s ongoing commitment to fostering future leaders in ethical fashion, sustainable innovation, and cultural entrepreneurship.

We respectfully thank the keynote speakers and partners who contributed their expertise and vision to this platform, especially thanks B Lab Australia & Aotearoa New Zealand; the Queensland Small Business Commission; Queensland Government Procurement Department and Queensland University of Technology.
